Slovenian Commemorative and Collector Coins
In addition to regular euro coins, Slovenia also issues €2 commemorative coins and its own collector coins. They commemorate notable personalities, anniversaries, historical events and cultural themes.
While €2 commemorative coins are legal tender throughout the euro area, Slovenian collector coins are legal tender only in Slovenia.
Slovenian €2 commemorative coins mark special events, anniversaries and notable personalities. Like regular €2 coins, they have a common European side and a changing national design.

Slovenia issues bimetallic €3 coins for selected national themes and anniversaries. Their changing designs combine a relatively low face value with distinctive Slovenian motifs.
Legal tender only in Slovenia
Slovenia also issues €30 silver collector coins for numerous numismatic themes. They are aimed primarily at collectors and complement the respective issue with a high-quality precious-metal version.
